Buddha Buds,

We had a very good Medicine Buddha empowerment with Drupon Rinpoche on Friday as well as a good, if abbreviated, practice session on Saturday morning. We also had a gratifying practice group last Wednesday night. Ten people came on Wednesday, more than I ever remember for a mid-week practice session. Fourteen people came for the empowerment and ten for practice on Saturday.

Thanks everyone!

ALSO - Early notice that we are working to organize a Nyungne retreat the weekend of March 28, after Drupon returns. If you aren't familiar with Nyungne, it's really quite remarkable. It is an intense purification practice based around 1000 Arm Chenrezig. It is a residential retreat consisting of two solid days of meditation practice and the morning of a third, with partial vows taken on the first day and full vows on the second day. Later in the week we'll send more specific details about the practice and very soon an announcement flyer. Meanwhile...

Please come for our regularly scheduled White Tara practice:

Wednesday February 27th, any time after about 6:30 for informal discussion and tea, then practice around 7:30:

"The pattern that develops that keeps up and maintains the whole environment of samsaric confusion has something to do with totality. There is a totality of frivolousness, a totality of looking for entertainment, and a totality comprised of seeking survival through all-pervasive aggression. Those three principles seem to function simultaneously on the level of the totality to keep the individual qualities of confused mind alive."
