There will be a few more emails to come as we got closer to the teaching event date. Please bear with us.
The teaching Khenchen will give is from a text of his own creation.
Allow me to say that again. The teaching Khenchen will give is from texts of his own creation. Unbelievable.
"Permissions and Prohibitions: Their Mode of Abiding" has just been completed along with the Guru Yoga practice this month. This will be an extremely auspicious occasion for all of us and for all of Chicagoland as it will be the first teaching from this text by it's creator. Brand new texts from a true Master of the Dharma. If that doesn't do it for you, I don't know what will.
We also now have a venue. Diane beat her brains out trying to get this sorted out. Thanks Diane! I think this will work out very well for Chicagoans, friends driving down from Wisconsin and friends flying in from out of state. Very accessible, lots of space, places to eat and minimal travel for Khenchen from the center.
Now I can invite you to call or email any questions, because we have answers.

Drupon Rinchen Dorjee will be present
Translator: Tracy Howard
Practitioners,
Now. Here's the rough one.
In the past, it has been okay--not encouraged--but okay if Drupon was asked first, for people to drop by the center when we have visiting Lamas. This will NOT be allowed at all during Khenchen Rinpoche's time in Chicago.
Due to Rinpoche's health issues, of which everyone is aware, there will be no interviews during this visit, or any casual drop-bys. No one should phone Drupon and ask him if it's okay...it is not, and he has asked that no one put him on the spot and make it difficult for him to have to say no. So PLEASE, do not phone Drupon and ask.
Anyone who just stops by, will not be allowed to come in and stay, or see Khenchen, unless Khenchen has personally requested that person to come visit with him, and if this is the case, preparations will be made according to Khenchen's wishes.
If anyone wants to drop at the door an offering of anything for him, they may phone John first and see if John is there to take the offering and leave it for Khenchen. We are blessed to have Rinpoche here to give us the first teaching on this very auspicious text, and we are responsible for his comfort and health while he is here.
This is not to be difficult or keep anyone from the precious Lama. Please be assured, this applies the same sangha-wide, no exemptions.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
