Vajrasattva Empowerment and Retreat

Hi chilly sangha,

On somewhat short notice, we're delighted to announce a Vajrasattva retreat for next weekend!

Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th will be devoted to group practice. You must have received the empowerment to participate in the group practice. If you need the empowerment it will be given on Friday evening the 14th.

Vajrasattva (Tib. dorje sempa) is the buddha of purification. As the "action" or karma protector, he also manifests the energies of all Buddhas. Vajrasattva's is a powerful purification practice, clearing obstacles to enlightenment and purifying karma. It is one of the practices that compose the Ngondro, the collection of essential foundational practices common to every lineage.

Vajrasattva is a beautiful practice with enormous benefit to ourselves and all sentient beings. One that will provide constant inspiration and continuing support to all your vajrayana practices.

Suggested donations: Friday $25, Saturday $35, Sunday $35
All donations help to support the practice of Tibetan Buddhism
in the Drikung Kagyu tradition in Chicago and the presence of our revered teacher.
