Committing to the Sangha

Dear Dharma Friends,

Drupon Rinpoche has been here now for a year and two months. We have
received many wonderful teachings and much inspiration from him.
And we have had a great apartment for him to live in with a lovely
shrine room for the sangha to practice in since the beginning of the
year.

The funding for these benefits has come primarily from a few
consistently generous core practitioners and from several very
generous gifts to the sangha, including one from Garchen Rinpoche.
Now we need help from everyone else.

We have expended almost all of the sangha account and are very
concerned about how we will manage over the next few months until we
hope to be on more sound footing. If you wish to have Drupon-la
remain in Chicago and maintain a place to meet, we need you to commit
your support.

We are averaging an overhead of $1000 a month for the sangha's
portion of the rent, utilities, Drupon'la's health insurance,
groceries, telephone, translation fees, transportation, legal fees,
publicity & event expenses, etc. Not an outrageous amount, all things
considered, but more than we have coming in currently.

We already have pledges totaling $200 a month, monthly payment of the
utilities and a lump sum donation of $400 for February.

We hope that you will consider the vast blessing of having Rinpoche
here for us and for all sentient beings and make a commitment. Any
and all one time or monthly contributions will be greatly appreciated
