The Three Holy Places - Chakrasamvara’s Body, Speech and Mind
Chakrasamvara, a deity belonging to the Anuttaratantra or highest tantra, is an essential practice for all lineages, but is of particular significance for the Drikung lineage. Twenty-four power places in the world are associated with Chakrasamvara, three are considered especially holy.Drikung Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon sent practitioners to these three sacred places: to Mount Kailash (gangs ri), whose form corresponds to the body of Chakrasamvara, to Mount Lapchi (la phyi) in the present-day border area between Tibet and Nepal, the site of the speech of Chakrasamvara, and to Mount Tsari (tsa ri), the site of the mind of Chakrasamvara.These places have been blessed by the presence of siddhas and masters through the centuries.
