Here are a few updates and some new information for those of you coming to Chicago:
Welcome Garchen Rinpoche - Rinpoche's group will be welcomed at the baggage claim of US Airways flight number 5 which arrives Chicago O'Hare at 5:49PM Thursday June 4th and everyone should check the flight before they come, but it would be nice for anyone who wants to come to be there to greet them.
PLEASE, Please, please Register - If you have not already registered with us, we STRONGLY encourage you to do so, even at this late date. As stated previously, space is limited and we want everyone who wishes to, to be able to attend.
Broken Record Dept. - PLEASE!... Try to arrive well ahead of 10:00 AM on Friday to allow for on site registration.
We are expecting a large group and would really appreciate your cooperation in not arriving at 9:59 AM (or late!). Please be respectful of the teachers, the teachings and the event volunteers by helping to avoid a lot of last minute chaos. Come early, have a cup of tea, visit with your dharma friends or do a little practice. The shrine room will be available early for quiet meditation.
Schedule:
Friday June 5th, Rinpoche will teach on bodhicitta from 10 AM to 12 AM and 2 PM to 5 PM
Saturday morning June 6th, 10 AM to 12 AM he will teach on completion stage,
and on Saturday afternoon, 2 PM to 5 PM he will give the first part of the empowerment (the preliminaries).
Sunday morning June 7th, 10 AM to 12 AM he will give the main part of the empowerment (the second part),
and Sunday afternoon, 2 PM to 5 PM will be the tsok.
Hope this is all clear and we hope that those who needed to adjust their schedules have managed that.
We are so fortunate to be able to receive the extensive empowerment when we hadn't planned on it!
Early registration: For a little added convenience, we will make on site registration available on Thursday evening from 7 to 8 PM at KTC. Please email if you need additonal directions or have any other questions.
