Wednesday White Tara practice with Drupon (Chötrul Düchen)

Sangha,

Wednesday, the last day of Losar will be a particularly auspicious day for practice. And it's a great opportunity to dedicate your practice to beings who need a blast of compassion and merit - your family, the Tibetan people, sick or dying friends, your enemies, anyone or everyone you wish.

Losar also commemorates the occasion when Lord Buddha benefited beings from the 1st to the 15th of the 1st month by besting all challengers in an 8-day contest of miracles. He continued to manifest various siddhis [miraculous accomplishments] for another 8 days. The final day of this 15-day period is known as Chötrul Düchen. On that day, it is said that the consequences of one's positive and/or negative actions increase 10 million times. Therefore many people devote that day to prayer. - from khandro.net
