Jul 6-8
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Kagyu and Nyingma master Khandro Rinpoche will teach three programs at the Chicago Shambhala Meditation Center. You can register for individual programs, or for all three at once.
If you are curious, but don't know how to approach this situation, I particularly recommend attending the Sunday program, described below:
Sunday, July 6th, 9am-5pm
The Five Paths: The Bodhisattva’s Journey, from Aspiration to Buddhahood
(Held at Loyola University Lake Shore Campus, Student Union – Rambler Room, Loyola Ave. and Sheridan Road (1125 W Loyola Ave)
The teaching on the Five Paths [Accumulation, Unification, Seeing, Meditation, No More Learning] describes the whole journey on the buddhist path, beginning with the foundation of sincere aspiration toward awakening, and continuing through the bodhisattva levels to the realization of Buddhahood. It is important to have a sense of the terrain, for without it, we risk developing unrealistic expectations (hope) or discouragement (fear) regarding our practice and progress on the path.
The journey is not as much a matter of time as it is our willingness and capacity to go to the very depths of our mind. The teaching on the Five Paths provides the context for this, as Chogyam Trungpa said, “…so that you can have some kind of guideline, not only from your teacher or your friends or your neighbors, but from yourself.”
You can register for this event separately if you like.
